Thanks For The Outpouring

I have to say, I was amazed by yesterday's outpouring.

After sharing our first baby picture with you, I received an incredible number of replies, congratulating us on Lisa's pregnancy.

I would have loved to got back to each of you personally, but the sheer volume of responses made that impossible.

Lisa and I truly appreciate each one of you.

Many of you have had miscarriages as well, and it was great to hear of your amazing personal experiences.

Some of you shared your own ultrasound pictures.

We sat here last evening (and again this morning), reading through all the emails that came in.

Both times, Lisa was in tears – and amazement.

It's not often that one gets flooded with well wishes from hundreds of folks that they've never met in person.

It did my heart good to share all of your emails with Lisa, and see the look on her face as she read each one of them.

And though we've had three miscarriages in the past, I firmly believe that we're going to have this baby.

It's like I can see it in my minds eye.

I see a healthy new baby joining the Thompson household somewhere around April 17th.

Yes, a lot of things have changed around here over the last year or so.

In fact, several months ago, I wrote an article about these changes – but never published it.
