Simple… My Eye

The other day I went to the doctor for what should have been a simple procedure.

Only problem is, things didn't turn out that way.

As one of my members, I'm sure you've seen photos or video of me.

I'm also sure you've also noticed the two large moles just above my right eye.

How could you not.

They're as noticeable as my lazy eye.

The moles have been there for most my life, and though they've never caused me any real concern, I wanted to get them removed.

My reason for doing so was more for appearances sake than anything else.

Prior to scheduling the appointment, the doctor went over the procedure with me.

He explained how he'd freeze the two moles, and within a week or so, they'd simply fall off, leaving me with a couple of small, and barely noticeable scars.

"Sounds good", I said, "Let's git er done".

When I arrived for my appointment the other day, it took the doc less than 10 minutes to do the procedure.

And other than some minor discomfort, it wasn't a big deal at all.

But…

When I woke up the following morning, my right eye had a considerable amount of swelling.

No big deal I think to myself, "Doc probably just forgot to mention that this would happen".

I went to be that evening, completely unprepared for the situation I'd wake up to the following morning.

When I got out of be the next morning, my eye was swollen up twice as big as the day before, and now I could barely see out of it.

When Lisa caught a glimpse of it, she gasped in amazement.

I looked like Mike Tyson after a fight… minus all the black and blue bruising.

Needless to say, I called the docs office, and they scheduled me for another appointment so we could find out what the problem was.

To make a long story short, while my situation certainly wasn't expected, he was able to prescribe some meds that got the swelling under control.

Going through this little ordeal reminded me that this kind of thing happens all the time.

The fact is, things don't always go as planned in life.

And I'm not just talking about medical issues.

I'm talking about life in general.

And when it comes to business, things are no different.

Only difference between me and most folks is the fact that I don't get upset, frustrated or down on myself when things don't go like I wanted.

Like the experience I just shared with you, when things don't go as planned, I simply get in touch with someone who's qualified to help me.

Case in point:

I got an email the other day from a client who was whining because he hadn't made any munee with the Automatic Income System.

He then goes on to say, "You haven't given me the help you promised".

After reading his comments, I remember thinking to myself, "Huh"?

I had to remind him that I've always been here to help (just as I promised), BUT… it was up to him to take advantage of that help.

And the fact is, he hadn't contacted me, or been on a coaching call in ages.

My guess is that he'd been trying to figure things out on his own, and things obviously weren't going the way he'd liked.

And now he was trying to place the blame on me.

As you're reading this, you're probably thinking to yourself, "How crazy is that. Why would the guy do that, when he has access to someone who's already been there and done that, and can give him all the help he needs".

And I gotta tell you, I was asking myself the same question.

While I wasn't able to come up with a good answer, I can tell you that this kind of thing happens all the time.

Maybe it's pride.

Maybe it's fear.

Maybe it's lack of understanding.

But the last thing you want to do when you come up against a challenge is try to deal with it yourself.

Your better option is to get feedback, advice and help from someone who's qualified to help you.

Sure, things don't always go as planned, but when you take to heart what I've just shared, you can ALWAYS reach your desired results.

Dedicated to your success,
Kevin Thompson
