Stop Chasing Wood
A big problem with most business owners is that they don’t understand the difference between advertising and direct response marketing.
To put it simply…
Advertising is a crap shoot, while direct response marketing is the methodical (and automated) process of getting your marketing message in front of your ideal prospects so they respond – NOW.
Advertising seldom pays for itself, while direct response marketing pays for itself, MANY times over.
When it comes to advertising, the sales rep will tell you that you need to get your name out there repeatedly.
They’ll also tell you that advertising is a long term process, and it takes time to see a return on your munee.
And let me tell you, nothing makes me madder than hearing this BS.
If I’m gonna invest money in advertising my business, I want a return on that investment, and I want it NOW.
I don’t want to wait months and months, hoping for the best.
There’s a term for this kind of behavior, and it’s called “chasing wood”.
And as a business owner, the last thing you want to do is “chasing wood”.
The fact is most advertising sales reps are very deceptive.
Yes, you heard me right.
Most advertising sales reps will outright lie to you in order to get you to spend munee with them.
And those reps who aren’t deceptive don’t know squat about advertising, cuz they’ve never done it for themselves.
Certainly not with their own munee.
If they really knew how to advertise successfully, and use direct response marketing, they wouldn’t be out there trying to sell us business owners on advertising.
They’d be doing it for themselves.
Cause here’s the deal:
