Do Not Bend – Photos Enclosed

Over the last few days I’ve been reading a book called “The Outliers”, by Malcolm Gladwell.

And I’ve got to say. This is one heck of an interesting book.

It was sent to me as a Christmas gift by my good friend and mentor, Mr. Joe Polish – and for good reason.

Joe doesn’t send books to people haphazardly.

When Joe sends a book, it’s because he’s already read it, and he strongly believes that you need to red it as well.

In “The Outliers”, Malcolm blows away every theory under the sun as to what makes some people successful, and other people unsuccessful.

I won’t ruin it here by telling you everything he talks about, but suffice it to say, he brings up some VERY interesting points.

The biggest one that grabbed me by the throat is the fact that successful people have a slight edge over those who are not successful.

This slight edge could come from parents, teachers, friends, acquaintances, mentors or other sources.

But the fact is, without this slight edge, you will NEVER be successful – in anything that you undertake.

For me, I did get a lot of support from my parents growing up, but I can tell you that they did not give me the slight edge that we’re talking about here.

I can also tell you that my slight edge did NOT come from any of my teachers or friends either.

For me, this slight edge came from my mentors.

Mentors like Joe Polish, Matt Furey, Michael Cage and Dan Kennedy.

And as a result of what they’ve taught me (and the amount of money their advice has made me), I too have become a mentor to many people and am able to pay it forward.

I too have given many others the slight edge they needed to become successful.

I too have had a hand in changing other people’s lives for the better.

And let me tell you, it’s an awesome feeling.

And now, I also have the opportunity to give this slight edge to my son Brock.

And though he’s only 8 months old, I’m already thinking about how I’m going to make it happen.

No…

I’m not going to simply hand him everything on a silver platter.

Instead, I’m going to share my knowledge with him, so that when the time comes, he’ll be prepared to make his own way in this world, and do so VERY successfully.

And yes, you owe it to yourself, and your family to do the same thing.

I just uploaded 5 photos of Brock to my Facebook and you’ll find them here

As you’ll see, Brock’s getting an early start.

You might think these photos are humorous, and they are, but make no doubt about it, he’s already getting the slight edge we’ve been talking about.

And this is just the beginning.

Like father – like son.

Enjoy the photos.

Once again, you’ll find them here

Dedicated to your success,
Kevin Thompson
